Abstract
ABSTRACT The research was conducted in Field Laboratorium, Animal Husbandry Faculty, Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University. The purpose of this research is to study the effects utilition of urea tapioka blok (UTB) on feed intake, daily gain of rams. Sixthy rams waighing on average 16,1 ± 2,013 kg (approximately 12 – 15 month old) were penned individually in the wooden-slatted cage. This research arranged in Block Randomized Design 4 x 4. The treatments applied were Tapioka – 0 % (T-0 /UMB), Tapioka – 50 % Molases 50% (T-50), Tapioka - 75 % Molases 25 % (T-75) and Tapioka 100 % (T-100 / UTB). In this research all animals were fed with a diet consisted of field grass (ad-libitum) plus concentrate ( rice brand : corn bran ratio 1 : 1) 2 % body wieght. The data collected during 3 month then was analyzed statisrically with variant analysis, if some differences were found among the treatmens, the data will be examined by BNJ test. The results of this research show that the average of feed intake and the average of daily gain were not significantly different (P>0.05). Urea Tapioka Blok was able to be given as a substitute UMB.
