Abstract
ABSTRACT Efforts to increase apple production aim ti increase farmers productivity and income. Farmers are faced with a problem, namely the inefficient use of all production factors in the apple cultivation process, from land processing, planting, maintenance to harvesting. The purpose of this study was to analyze the allocative efficiency of apple production in Andonosari Village, Tutur District, Pasuruan Regency. Respondents in this study were apple farmers in Andonosari Village who carried out 900 apple cultivation. Based on the provision of random sampling at least 15% of the population from the number of farmers above is selected by 60 farmers at random. The types of data used in this study are primary data and supporting data. The data analysis method uses quantitative methods and allocative efficiency analysis with the Cobb�Douglas production function model. The results showed that the production factors of land area, seeds, manure, labor, and pesticides were allocatively inefficient with allocative efficiency values 0,024, 0,272, 0,926, 0,226, and 0,575. Allocative efficiency can be achieved by farmers by reducing the use of production inputs (land area, seeds, manure, labor, and pesticides). Keywords: Efficiency, Production, Apple ABSTRAK Upaya peningkatan produksi apel bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan pendapatan petani. Petani dihadapkan suatu masalah yaitu tidak efisiennya dalam penggunaan segala faktor produksi pada proses pembudidayaan apel mulai dari pengolahan lahan, penanaman, pemeliharaan sampai panen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efisiensi alokatif produksi apel di Desa Andonosari, Kecamatan Tutur, Kabupaten Pasuruan. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah petani apel di Desa Andonosari yang melaksanakan budidaya tanaman apel berjumlah 900 orang. Berdasarkan ketentuan penetapan sampel secara acak minimal 15 % populasi dari jumlah petani di atas dipilih 60 petani secara acak. Jenis data yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah data primer dan data pendukung. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan analisis efisiensi alokatif dengan model fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor produksi luas lahan, bibit, pupuk kandang, tenaga kerja, dan pestisida tidak efisien secara alokatif dengan nilai efisiensi alokatif sebesar 0,024, 0,272, 0,962, 0,226, dan 0,575. Efisiensi secara alokatif dapat dicapai oleh petani dengan cara melakukan pengurangan penggunaan input produksi (luas lahan, bibit, pupuk kandang, tenaga kerja, dan pestisida).
