Abstract
Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered type of coronavirus. This virus is a new virus and a previously unknown disease before the outbreak in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Coronavirus itself is a group of viruses that can cause disease in animals or humans. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a relationship between education on handling COVID-19 independently at home and public anxiety in the Yon Arhanud 2 Kostrad Dormitory. This research is a quantitative research using a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was 50 respondents in asrama YON ARHANUD 2 using the Simple Random Sampling Technique. The data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank Correlation test. The results showed that there was a relationship between the handling of COVID-19 at home and public anxiety with a p value of 0.042. Based on this research, it is hoped that the general public can implement independent handling of COVID-19 at home, because the higher the handling of COVID-19 independently at home, the lower the level of public anxiety.
