Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui wacana berita hoax politik yang ada di Indonesia, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan Pilkada DKI Jakarta 2017. Isu ini menarik karena berita hoax diproduksi besar-besaran pasca Calon Gubernur DKI Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaya Purnama alias Ahok melakukan penistaan Agama Islam di akhir tahun 2016. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan unit analisis sebanyak 15 berita politik dari 98 berita hoax yang ada di www.turnbackhoax.id mulai November 2016 sampai April 2017. Hasilnya diketahui hoax mengarah pada tiga hal, propaganda, kampanye hitam, dan pembentukan opini publik. Kesimpulan didapat bahwa berita hoax cenderung menyerang Ahok sebagai penista agama. Ahok direpresentasikan sebagai orang yang berdosa dan menghalalkan berbagai macam cara untuk menduduki kursi Gubernur DKI Jakarta. Anies-Sandi direpresentasikan sebagai pemihak syariat islam dan akan, lalu Silvy direpresentasikan dekat dengan Rizieq Sihab sehingga bekerja sama dengan massa Aksi Bela Islam guna menggagalkan pencalonan Ahok. This study aims to elaborate the discourse of Indonesian political hoax news related to 2017 Jakarta’s governor election. This issue becomes significant because thehoax news are produced massively after one of Governor Candidate, Basuki Tjahaya Purnama, alias Ahok blasphemed Islam at the end of 2016. Method used in this study is descriptive qualitative and 15 political news analysis units from 98 hoaxnews found inwww.turnbackhoax.id from November 2016 to April 2017. The result indicates that hoax news have three main characteristics; propaganda, black campaign, and predisposal of public opinion. To conclude, hoax news are labelled Ahok offensively as Religion Blasphemer. Ahok is represented as a sinner and he justifies any ways to occupy the seat of the Governor of DKI Jakarta. Meanwhile, Anies-Sandi is represented in one ofhoaxnews as a defender ofIslamic Law. On the other hand, Sivy closeness to Rizieq Sihab is presented by some hoax news so coorporation with the mass in Islamic Defense Action in order to thwart Ahok's candidacy
