Tourism is now a a rapidly developing industry. Many countries develop tourism as a sector the flagship of his country, because the tourism sector is a potential economic business generator, and economic generator of a country, city, province, district or visitor destination. Purpose this research is a process with scientific methods to be able to find, develop, and test the truth of science. This type of research uses the type of qualitative research. Data sources are primary data and secondary data. Data collection is done through observation, interview and documentation. research instruments include the researchers themselves, interview guidelines, and field notes. The technique of determining informants using purposive sampling. Data validity using triangulation techniques. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study are the tourism department plays an important role in developing tourism by facilitating, and providing training to POKDARWIS, supporting factors (Human Resources, good climate, abundant natural resources), inhibiting factors (road congestion, lack of rest area), physical aspects (road infrastructure and lighting are good), attractiveness aspects (natural charm, and panorama,), accessibility aspects (road signs and good road access), aspects of activities and facilities (there are tour guides and tourism information centers), socioeconomic aspects, community economy and Regional Original Revenues have increased.
